I’ve got some fabulous news to announce to kick off 2014 – today I’ve joined Garry Baverstock AM and Ecotect Architects as a design director and associate!

For those of you not in the know, Garry is a leading architect, consultant and educator in the design of energy efficient and climate sensible buildings, and has been practicing for the last four decades. He’s bagged a plethora of awards for his work, and in 2006 received an Order of Australia for his contribution to architecture and energy efficiency in the built environment. Basically, everything that I want to be when I grow up 🙂

Garry and I met for a chat over lunch last year, and it become apparent that we are passionate about and stand for many of the same things. Rather than trying to forge a name for myself on my own, it made a lot of sense to be able to draw upon Garry’s wealth of knowledge and experience to tackle the challenges we face with the built environment and a changing climate.

For existing clients, no need to worry – I will continue to provide the same high level of service on your project. For new and prospective clients, you’ll be able to benefit from the knowledge and support of the entire Ecotect Architects team.

We’ve got some big plans for 2014 – along with our existing architectural projects, Garry and I plan to expand our consulting and design advisory services, and will also be launching a new series of information seminars and workshops to help anyone design a home that will use less energy, is comfortable all year round, and has higher market value.

I’ll keep you posted on further developments. In the meantime, check out the Ecotect Architects website.
